Required Post #6
Hey guys, it's Persephone. This post is going to be about the conflict in the myth that I was telling you guys about yesterday. I feel that the conflict in this myth is very clear and simple: Hades and Zeus knew that my mother, Demeter, did not want Hades to take me to the Underworld with him, making it harder for them to formulate a plan to get me to be Hades's wife. In this myth, Zeus warns Hades that Demeter will not just allow her daughter, (and close friend), to be taken away from her and dragged to the land to the dead. This obviously would make Hades's and Zeus's plan much more difficult. Hades eventually convinces Zeus that he must have me as his wife. They come to the conclusion that Hades should abduct me and take me to the Underworld with him, but the rest is told later on in another myth.
