The painting "The Return of Persephone" was painted by Frederick Leighton in 1891. This painting portrays when I was given back to my mother, Demeter, during the spring. It shows Hades and I coming out of the entrance of the underworld with my mother waiting for me on the other side. This painting is significant because it was painted hundreds of years and several centuries after this specific event had happened to me.
The painting "The Abduction of Proserpina" was painted by an artist by the name Rembrandt in 1631. This painting shows when I was first taken away by Hades to the Underworld when I was strolling through the meadows. Hades came up from the earth, grabbed me, and dragged me down with him. This painting was also made several centuries after my abduction.
This sculpture is called "The Abduction of Persephone." This sculpture displays an interpretation of when I was forcibly taken to the Underworld by Hades. In this sculpture it is fairly obvious that I did not want to go with him. This is one of the many interpretations of my abduction by Hades.
